Ten-Minute Tomato Sauce

For 6 people: 4 T olive oil, 1 medium  peeled onion, 1 large can of  San Marzano crushed tomatoes, 1/2 cup of fresh basil, salt to taste.  Cook oil and whole peeled onion in medium saucepan over medium heat about 2 minutes.  Stir in crushed tomatoes. Bring to simmer and cook 5 more minutes. Off heat, add basil and season with salt.   Discard the onion.  Delicious and very quick!
