Rye

Rye dough, due to a low amount of gluten, makes a very heavy bread (pumpernickel, for example). Dry rye crisp are useful for a weight-reducing diet because they swell in the stomach, thus giving a sensation of fullness. In addition rye has a low glycemic index and therefore takes a long time to digest.  This too reduces appetite
